cell model

in this lab me and my friends made a cell model but not just any cell an animal cell. we made our cell model by baking a pizza and put the toppings on like an animal cell is set up.  The onion with the cherry on it was the nucleus. The cytoplasm was the cheese,  the mitochondria were three Vienna sausages. the vacuoles were the two mushrooms and the crust was the cell membrane. the nucleus controls many of the functions of the cell and contains D.N.A .  Cytoplasm is present within the cell membrane of all cell types and contains all organelles and cell parts. The mitochondria is known as the power house of the cell because it takes nutrients and breaks them down in to energy.  Vacuoles store the nutrients for when the cell grows. The cell membrane control’s the movement in and out of the cell.
